Optical Systems Engineer Free-Space Laser Communications

SpaceX is seeking an optical engineer in Redmond, WA to design, analyze, validate, and operate free-space optical systems for laser communications on Starlink satellites. You will lead architecture definition, verification testing, and field testing of optical experiments and systems, coordinating with software, manufacturing, and reliability teams. The role requires a physics/engineering background, hands-on optics experience, and programming proficiency in C++, MATLAB, or Python.
