Contextual Overview Harris Beach Murtha, a leading full‑service law firm, is hiring an Associate Attorney in its Labor & Employment practice located in Rochester (Pittsford), NY (hybrid work model).Key Eligibility Criteria1‑4+ years of experience in labor & employment law or related litigation. Admission to the New York State Bar (active, good standing).Juris Doctor from an ABA‑accredited law school. Excellent research, writing, and oral communication abilities. Capacity to thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment. Military experience is welcomed. Responsibilities & Scope of Work Conduct legal research on labor & employment matters. Draft and revise employee handbooks and policies. Prepare position statements and responses to EEOC, NY State Division of Human Rights, and CT Commission on Human Rights charges. Draft motions, respond to discovery, and prepare deposition materials. Participate as first or second chair in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials.
