Brick Executive SEarch has been exclusively retained to search for a Chief Marketing Officer for a B to B/B to C company in the consumer products/education space. This person will have accountability for 2 adjacent companies ..The role in one sentence: Client is seeking a leader who can take a collection of talented marketers, channels, and data and turn them into a single, accountable growth engine across two fast-growing companies, the role these businesses have never had and now need most. Why this seat is different: You will not be inheriting a marketing organization that has been built - YOU WILL BUILD IT .That is the opportunity. Not to inherit a polished department, but to be the first-ring leader who connects marketing to real business outcomes, establishes the ways of working across marketing, sales, and technology, and makes strong hires succeed inside a clear operating model rather than becoming isolated points of failure. The leader who takes this seat will have genuine authority across both businesses, a seat on the executive team, and a founder who is an equally invested partner in how the work gets done. What makes it compelling A real mandate, not a title. This is a builder's role with the authority to match. The CMO defines the operating model, sets the standard, and owns marketing strategy and execution across two companies. A team already in place to lead. This is not a build-from-zero situation. A strong email and CRM leader and a strong creative leader are already on board, along with supporting growth and product consultants, and social, content, and community are being hired into now. The job is to connect and elevate real talent into an integrated engine, not to spend year one recruiting the basics. Modern and AI-forward. The companies are rebuilding their technology platform and standing up a modern CRM and marketing automation stack. The CMO will own marketing technology and lead genuine AI enablement across the function, from creative production at scale to workflow and analytics. This is a place to build marketing the way it should be built in this era, not to modernize a legacy bureaucracy inch by inch. Two businesses, real complexity, real upside. A profitable, growing core business, and a fast-scaling brand with enormous headroom. Centralized where they should be centralized, brand-distinct where they should not, the kind of matrix a serious marketing leader knows how to build. Work that matters.. This CMO will market two critical programs/charity's the company has established with the respect they deserve, never as simply marketing properties. rather where the work connects to something real. What you'll own Overarching marketing strategy, brand positioning, segmentation, and customer journey across both companies, with every goal tied to a measurable business outcome Leadership and development of the marketing team, and the operating model that makes it perform National and grassroots campaigns across paid, earned, owned, and grassroots channels, and the budget and ROI behind them The full digital ecosystem: website, SEO and AEO, paid media, email and SMS, social, and analytics, held to real business impact rather than vanity metrics The marketing technology stack, the in-flight CRM and automation implementation, and AI enablement across the function A close partnership with technology leadership through the platform rebuild Who this is for A senior marketing leader with 15+ years of experience, including running a full marketing function, who is genuinely energized by building the operating model rather than inheriting one A proven operator who has connected email, creative, social, paid, and analytics into one engine and driven measurable growth Someone fluent across B2B and multi-location retail/service, comfortable moving between system-wide strategy and local execution A leader who grows brands through durable levers, community, referral, and lifecycle, not just promotions Hands-on with a modern martech stack and CRM/automation, and genuinely fluent in applying AI to marketing High intellectual horsepower with daily humility, a collaborator with finance and technology, not a silo-builder A present, hands-on leader who wants to be in the building and build something that lasts
