Laboratory Technician (Asbestos)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Prepare environmental samples prior to analysis Air Sample Prep, Bulk Sample Prep, Dust, Water, Soil Utilization of balances, HEPA filtered fume hoods, filtration systems and muffle furnaces to prep samples Support all sample-related activities, including preservation, preparation, and disposal Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment as needed Other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the managerQualificationsHigh School diploma or GED equivalent Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship Some laboratory experience either in academic or commercial setting is a plus Ability to distinguish colors in order to perform analysis Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 25lbs and standing for various lengths of time Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability and a positive attitude Effective time management, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize with minimal assistanceAvailable Shifts Position is full time, Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Candidates' eligibility Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Huntington Beach, CA are encouraged to apply Benefits EMSL offers full time benefits: medical, dental, 401(k), voluntary benefits, paid time off, holiday pay, flexible spending account.
