Supporting NASA's Aerospace Capabilities Portfolio Office, the full-time remote Data Catalog Specialist will manage data cataloging, establish metadata standards, and drive adoption across the portfolio to enhance data accessibility and trust.
Key Responsibilities:
Catalog and describe datasets to create clear, searchable records for users
Build and maintain taxonomies, controlled vocabularies, and metadata documentation standards
Map data lineage and assist teams in understanding data provenance and qualityRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree or higher in computer science, data science, engineering, or a related field
2-5 years of experience in data cataloging, metadata management, or related roles
Hands-on experience with data catalog or metadata management platforms
Ability to understand data workflows and capture accurate lineage and metadata
Strong knowledge of metadata standards and taxonomies
