Production Manager

Salary: $95,000 - $100,000 per year

Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead and oversee daily manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for driving safety, quality, productivity, service, and cost objectives while ensuring efficient use of personnel, equipment, and materials. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Production Management: Lead and coordinate daily production activities to meet operational goals and customer requirements. Optimize staffing, equipment utilization, and material resources. Monitor production performance and implement corrective actions when necessary. Collaborate with Planning, Logistics, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to support operational success.

Leadership & Team Development: Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors and team members. Foster a safe, collaborative, and results-driven work environment. Conduct performance evaluations and support employee development initiatives. Manage workforce planning, scheduling, attendance, and staffing needs.

Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste. Utilize Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies. Drive cost-reduction initiatives while maintaining product quality and service levels. Monitor operational KPIs and develop action plans to improve performance.

Quality, Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with quality standards, food safety requirements, and operational procedures. Promote a strong safety culture and adherence to all workplace safety regulations. Support audits and corrective action initiatives related to quality and safety systems. Investigate operational issues and implement sustainable solutions.

Equipment & Maintenance Support: Partner with Maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and uptime. Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities. Support root cause analysis and continuous equipment improvement efforts.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of production management experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience within packaging, plastics, food manufacturing, or a related industry preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of production planning, process control, and continuous improvement methodologies. Familiarity with ISO, HACCP, BRC, or similar quality and safety systems is a plus. Bilingual English/Spanish is highly preferred.
