Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience operating asphalt transfer machines on commercial or highway projects
- Daily travel required, Must have reliable transportation
- Strong understanding of hot mix asphalt handling, material flow, and distribution techniques
- Commitment to strict adherence to job site safety protocols, traffic control, and hot mix handling procedures
Responsibilities:
- Operate asphalt transfer machines to move and distribute hot mix asphalt from trucks to pavers efficiently and safely
- Monitor and control material flow to ensure consistent supply to the paving operation
- Adjust machine settings and conveyor speed to maintain proper asphalt placement and minimize material loss
- Coordinate with truck drivers, paver operators, and crew members to maintain smooth workflow
- Perform daily inspections, routine maintenance, and minor troubleshooting on transfer equipment
