Read this first Our software is poised to disrupt CoStar and Crexi. This is not a job for someone who needs a base salary to get out of bed, and it is not a job for someone who has never sold into commercial real estate. Want to make an application Make sure your CV is up to date, then read the following job specs carefully before applying. We are hiring one person who already knows this industry, already has the phone numbers, and wants the economics of a founder without the risk of founding. You will earn commission from day one, at rates well above market, and you will unlock a base salary the moment you prove the motion works. If you cannot get a principal, an acquisitions director, or a brokerage team lead on the phone this week, this role is not for you. About CRE Finder is the off-market deal sourcing platform for commercial real estate operators. We index 5.2M+ commercial parcels across 3,144 counties, refreshed daily, and resolve ownership from LLC → human → verified phone in one click. What we sell that nobody else does: Off-market only. LoopNet and Crexi are marketplaces for property already listed. We cover every parcel, listed or not, before it goes to market. Multi-channel property owner outreach across email, USPS postcard, and letter, SMS, Voicemail drops, with a threaded reply inbox. Customers pay only for what ships. Territory exclusivity. One operator per asset type per market. When a customer licenses Industrial in Dallas County, no competitor of theirs can license the same combination. This is the sharpest close in the category and it is the center of your pitch. AI land development briefs covering zoning interpretation, flood risk, highest-and-best-use, and owner distress signals generated in under a second. Customers today include acquisitions teams, brokerage principals, wholesalers, and private equity operators. Our sales motion is consultative, fast-cycle, and inherently urgency-driven: every market you sell is a market your prospect's competitor can no longer have. What you will own Full-cycle new business. Sourcing, discovery, live demo, pricing, negotiation, close. You run your own pipeline end to end. No SDR handoffs, no marketing-qualified lead babysitting. Territory licensing strategy. Identify the highest-value asset-type/geography combinations and sell them to the operator most likely to dominate that market. Relationship-led sourcing. Your first 90 days of pipeline should come predominantly from your existing network, not from cold lists. Enterprise and multi-seat expansion. Move from single-operator licenses into brokerage houses, PE acquisition platforms, family offices, and franchise networks. Market intelligence back to product. You are the closest person to the buyer. Objections, pricing resistance, and feature gaps route through you to the founder directly. Partnerships and channel. Broker associations, CCIM/SIOR chapters, regional investor networks, PropTech resellers, and CRM integration partners.
Required experience:
(non-negotiable) We will not consider candidates who do not meet all three of the following.1. CRE software or data sales experience 3+ years closing subscription software, data, or SaaS specifically into commercial real estate. You should be able to point to quota attainment selling a product in or adjacent to this category, for example: CoStar, Crexi, Reonomy, LightBox, Moody's CRE, Yardi, MRI, VTS, Buildout, RealPage,, Cherre, Dealpath, Northspyre, Juniper Square, AirDNA, or a comparable CRE data, brokerage, lending, or asset management platform. General B2B SaaS experience without CRE domain depth will not transfer here. Our buyers can tell within ninety seconds whether you understand cap rates, NOI, LOIs, assemblage, or why a twelve-year hold with a tax lien is a motivated seller. You need to be fluent, not coached.2. Portable relationships with senior industry decision-makers You must arrive with direct, warm relationships to principals and senior decision-makers: acquisitions directors, managing partners, brokerage team leads and owners, family office portfolio managers, PE real estate operators, and regional investment sales leaders. In your first interview we will ask you to name 25 to 50 named accounts you can personally get on the phone within your first two weeks. Not LinkedIn connections. People who will take your call because they know you. This requirement is the single largest determinant of success in this role and the primary reason the compensation is structured the way it is.3. Demonstrated full-cycle closing ability You have carried and hit a real quota, run your own discovery and demos, negotiated pricing without an approval chain, and closed deals in a 14–45 day cycle. You are comfortable being measured weekly and you do not need a manager to build your pipeline for you. Also expected Fluency with modern sales tooling: HubSpot or equivalent CRM, sequencing tools, LinkedIn Sales Navigator Comfort running a live, unscripted product demo on a screen share, including live data pulls in a prospect's own county Ability to translate technical capability (skip trace accuracy, entity resolution, motivation scoring) into deal economics Willingness to travel to industry events such as ICSC, CCIM/SIOR chapter events, regional investor conferences, NMHC, IMNGenuine comfort with commission-first compensation and the accountability that comes with itNice to have
- Prior brokerage license or transaction experience on the principal side
- Experience selling territory-exclusive, franchise, or licensed-market models
- Existing relationships with brokerage franchise networks or investor associations
- Familiarity with skip tracing, direct mail, or outbound marketing compliance (TCPA, CAN-SPAM, DNC)
- Track record as an early or first sales hire at a startup This role is not a fit if
- Your CRE experience is limited to residential
- You need a full base salary before producing revenue
- Your network is a lead list rather than a set of relationships
- You want inbound leads handed to you
- You have never held a closing quota
