General plant labor, to include operating machinery, forklift operation, grinder operation, housekeeping, cleaning, painting, grounds and general housekeeping in all areas of the plant. Essential Duties/Responsibilities Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time. General plant labor Utilize and operate a forklift Plate Freezer Operation Inventory counts Stretch Wrapper Operation Pressure Washer Operation Housekeeping, hosing down floors, moping, sweeping, emptying trash, picking up trash, etc. Shovel and clean up spills in the plant Keep barrels emptied of trash and product Clean equipment from top to bottom Keep floor drains cleaned out and covers on drains Paint as directed Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age
- Ability to read and write.
- Ability to climb stairs and silos.
- Ability to stand for entire shift
Preferred Qualifications:
Work well with others in a team environment.
Safety conscience; detail oriented; able to multi-task.
Good mechanical skills; knowledge of plant processes and equipment.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
Frequently exposed to high noise levels, strong odors, varying temperatures, and biohazardous conditions.
Requires prolonged sitting and movement throughout office/work locations, as well as occasional use of computers and office equipment.
Must frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb or balance.
Must be able to communicate effectively and identify potential workplace hazards.
Requires the ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
