Senior Sales Associate

Music & Arts is seeking a Senior Sales Associate to drive sales and deliver outstanding customer service in our retail store. You’ll support students, parents, and educators by recommending instruments, accessories, and lesson programs that fit their needs and budgets. Responsibilities include meeting sales goals, managing rentals, processing transactions, maintaining merchandising and inventory standards, and supporting school service programs. You’ll model best practices for the sales team while promoting our student-focused, inclusive culture and helping grow music education in the community. Deliver exceptional in-store customer service to students, parents, and educators Recommend instruments, accessories, rentals, and lesson programs to meet customer needs Achieve and exceed individual and store sales goals Support and process band and orchestra rentals and returns Handle POS transactions, financing, and accurate cash management Maintain merchandising standards, product displays, and store cleanliness Assist with inventory management, stocking, and product organization Support school service initiatives and community outreach events Provide guidance and informal mentorship to junior sales associates Promote Music & Arts’ mission of supporting music education in the community Retail sales Customer service Point-of-sale (POS) systems Cash handling and reconciliation Product knowledge – musical instruments Inventory management Merchandising Sales communication and closing Rental contract processing Basic computer proficiency Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Background in music performance or music education preferred Retail sales or customer service experience in music or specialty retail Cash handling and POS system proficiency Knowledge of band and orchestra instruments and accessories
