Wastewater Collection System O&M CDL Class B NJDEP C1 License Support wastewater collection system operations and maintenance. This role is ideal for someone looking to build hands-on experience while working toward state operator certification.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.96 per hour
Requirements:- High School Diploma or GEDValid Class B Commercial Driver's License (required at hire)
- Ability to obtain NJDEP C1 Operator's License within 2 years of hire
- Availability for on-call rotation
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of collection system tools, equipment, and repair materials Previous experience in water/wastewater treatment, operations, or collectionsOSHA training (Confined Space Entry, Lockout/Tagout)NJDEP C1 Operator's License already obtained
Key Responsibilities:- Assist Collections Operator with sewer cleaning, clearing, rodding, and repairs
- Clean bar screen facilities throughout the collection system
- Support weekly preventive maintenance on equipment
- Maintain records using CMMS, Word, and ExcelRead and interpret sewer maps, construction plans, and O&M manuals
- Diagnose simple collection system problems
- Perform Activity Hazard Analysis and Pre-Task Planning
