Contract Surety Underwriter - Texas:
Our client is seeking a Surety Underwriter to evaluate and underwrite new and renewal surety business while building strong agency and client relationships. This role will analyze financial statements, work-in-progress schedules, bank agreements, and credit reports to assess risk and support profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Review financial information and assess risk quality. Underwrite new and renewal surety accounts. Develop and maintain agency, broker, and client relationships. Deliver exceptional customer service and timely underwriting decisions. Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and market conditions. Support business objectives through sound underwriting judgment and initiative.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 3+ years of surety underwriting, credit analysis, banking, or related financial experience. Strong financial analysis and risk assessment skills. Excellent communication, organization, and relationship management abilities.
Location: Texas (Hybrid)
Compensation: Base salary up to $160,000 + bonus potential.
