APPLY NOWOur Union County based client is seeking a motivated Logistics Specialist to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a logistics professional seeking hands-on experience across multiple areas of operations, including transportation, intermodal logistics, maintenance, and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors ensure efficient movement of freight
- Coordinate transportation quotes, dispatching, and shipment routing activities
- Manage and track transportation movements and delivery schedules
- Prepare and maintain transportation and shipping documentation
- Monitor carrier and vendor performance
- Maintain shipment tracking and transportation reporting tools
- Review shipments for regulatory compliance
- Analyze transportation costs and assist with invoice review and reconciliation
- Support intermodal transportation operations and audit activities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Transportation, or a related field preferred 2+ years of experience in logistics or transportation
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, ability to create worksheets
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Eagerness to learn and develop within the logistics and transportation industry
