We are looking for a detail-oriented Logistics Analyst to support import, export, trucking, billing, and customer service activities for a growing operation in California. This contract position with permanent potential is ideal for someone who can keep shipments moving smoothly, maintain accurate documentation, and provide responsive communication to customers, carriers, and internal teams. The role combines hands-on coordination of domestic and international freight with issue resolution, quote preparation, and process improvement to strengthen service quality and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate import, export, and trucking shipments from initiation through final delivery while maintaining timely updates and accurate status tracking.
Serve as a primary point of contact for customers, carriers, customs brokers, and business partners to address shipment questions, documentation needs, and service issues.
Arrange domestic transportation and drayage moves, confirming pickup and delivery schedules to support on-time freight execution.
Prepare, review, and organize shipping records, bills of lading, commercial invoices, freight billing, and other compliance-related documents required for cargo movement.
Investigate and resolve shipment delays, billing discrepancies, freight exceptions, and customer concerns with a strong focus on service recovery.
Partner with warehouse, transloading, compliance, and branch teams to ensure consistent communication and smooth coordination across the supply chain.
Develop accurate customer quotations for freight forwarding and trucking services based on shipment requirements and pricing details.
Contribute ideas that improve workflow efficiency, documentation accuracy, and overall customer satisfaction within logistics operations.
Support quality and compliance initiatives by following established procedures and participating in continuous improvement efforts.
Perform additional operational and customer support tasks as needed to help the department meet service and performance goals.
