LEAD WATER PLANT MAINTENANCE MECHANIC (WS-11) [2 vacancies]

What You Will Do: Supervise and perform installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of pumping plant and water system equipment, machinery, and instrumentation. Lead troubleshooting efforts for mechanical and electrical equipment failures, using appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve issues. Oversee and conduct dismantling, servicing, and repair of various valve systems. Supervise and perform installation, maintenance, overhaul, and repair of electrical and electronic devices.

Special Working Conditions: Work hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. Works with high voltage electricity, heavy machinery, chlorine gas, moving machinery, working on scaffolds. Various equipment may be located underground in basements, manholes, vaults, shafts, and pump rooms; aboveground on building and reservoir roofs; and remote locations which may require walking or working on uneven terrain.
