As a Power Originator / Trader, you will be part of the power trading and origination department supporting the development of new trading capabilities. The ideal candidate will have strong market knowledge, entrepreneurial spirit, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Power Originator / Trader

Location: Austin, TX, with a related need in London. This role is remote during the initial phase, with in-person work expected within the first year. What's the Job? Build and develop power trading and origination strategies within the ERCOT market. Identify, structure, negotiate, and bring power deals and products to market. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop trading processes, controls, and operating procedures. Engage with counterparties and stakeholders to optimize transaction outcomes. Contribute to establishing risk management practices and reporting frameworks. What's Needed? Deep familiarity with ERCOT and Texas power markets, including direct market participation. Experience in power origination, commercial transactions, or environmental product trading. Proven ability to structure, negotiate, and market power or environmental deals. Experience working in a startup or build-stage energy environment with evolving systems and processes. Strong communication skills and a builder mentality, eager to develop new processes and frameworks. What's in it for me?
