Gasification Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Operate and optimize gasification, purification, storage, and gas transmission systemsEnsure reliable and safe supply of silane, hydrogen, and nitrogen to productionMonitor system performance and lead troubleshooting of process deviationsMaintain compliance with hazardous chemical handling and safety regulationsInterpret and maintain PFDs, P&IDs, and process control documentationDevelop and enforce emergency response and gas-leak procedures QUALIFICATIONS Associate's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering or related field 3+ years of experience with industrial gas systems in solar, semiconductor, or chemical manufacturingStrong understanding of hazardous gas safety regulations (silane, hydrogen, nitrogen) Ability to read P&IDs, PFDs, and process schematicsHazmat certification a plus PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to stand and walk throughout gas-handling and process areas for extended periodsAbility to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. occasionallyAbility to wear full PPE, including respiratory protection and chemical-resistant gear, for extended periodsAbility to work near pressurized gas systems and hazardous chemicals following strict safety protocolsAbility to climb ladders/stairs and access elevated platforms and confined equipment spacesCapacity to respond quickly to emergency situations, including donning emergency equipment This job description reflects the general nature and level of work performed and is not a comprehensive inventory of all duties and qualifications.
