Our client is seeking an accomplished Vice President, Business Development to join a growing outside sales organization providing sophisticated financial, media, and asset-monetization solutions to major consumer-facing companies. This is not a traditional advertising sales role. The VP, Business Development will sell complex solutions that combine financial strategy, corporate asset monetization, media investment, digital advertising, and business transformation. The objective is to help companies recover value from underperforming or distressed assets while strategically deploying that value toward advertising and other business expenditures. The ideal candidate is a sophisticated hunter and consultative seller who can walk into a meeting with a CFO, CMO, COO, President, or other senior executive, quickly understand the business issue, and communicate a compelling financial and marketing solution. We are particularly interested in accomplished sales professionals from financial services, fintech, digital media/advertising, commercial real estate, financial advisory, or similarly complex B2B solution environments. WHAT YOU'LL SELLSolutions may involve a combination of: Corporate Trade & Asset Monetization – helping companies recover value from excess inventory, real estate, leases, fleet vehicles, capital equipment, sponsorships, and other underperforming assets. Media Planning & Investment – integrated media solutions across digital, programmatic, television, radio, print, out-of-home, mobile, and other channels. Digital & Programmatic Media – audience targeting, programmatic buying, publisher-direct solutions, CRM/CDP strategies, e-commerce/retail media, attribution, and analytics. Financial & Marketing Solutions – structuring transactions that address financial challenges while supporting the client's advertising and marketing objectives. Remarketing Solutions – monetizing eligible assets through approved channels while helping clients protect their existing distribution strategies and brand. These are sophisticated transactions requiring the ability to understand both the financial problem and the media/advertising strategy behind the solution.

MEDIA EXPERIENCEA strong understanding of media, digital advertising, programmatic advertising, media investment, or marketing spend can be highly valuable in this position. However, this opportunity is best suited to candidates whose experience demonstrates consultative business development and executive-level selling, rather than individuals whose careers have been primarily centered on traditional advertising-agency account management. WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:
Success in this position requires more than a strong network or the ability to deliver a sales presentation. Asking sophisticated questions about financial challenges, assets, marketing expenditures, and business priorities. Translating complex concepts into a clear and compelling business case. Established top performers have demonstrated the ability to earn approximately $400,000–$500,000+.Because the sales cycle is consultative and can extend several months, the organization is looking for someone interested in building a long-term career and book of business, rather than pursuing short-cycle transactional sales.
WHY JOIN?
This is an opportunity to join a privately held, entrepreneurial, veteran-owned organization that is expanding its sales and business development capabilities. You'll work within a relatively lean organization where successful sales professionals have direct access to senior leadership and significant visibility into the business. The company's model sits at an unusual intersection of finance, corporate trade, asset monetization, digital media, advertising technology, and enterprise consulting, creating an opportunity to sell solutions that address real financial and marketing challenges rather than a single standalone product. The organization is growing and provides opportunities for successful individuals to expand their responsibilities and advance internally. IMPORTANT LOCATION & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTSThis is NOT a remote or hybrid position. When not traveling for business, the VP, Business Development is expected to work onsite five days per week in office. Approximately 50% travel should be expected for client meetings, trade shows, conferences, and other business development activities. Travel may occasionally arise on short notice based on client needs. Candidates considering relocation should be prepared to self-relocate to the area. If you are an accomplished consultative seller who can engage C-suite executives, navigate sophisticated financial and marketing conversations, and close complex enterprise opportunities, we encourage you to apply.
