About the Role:
You would join AstraZeneca's Chemical Biology and Proteomics group within Discovery Sciences, supporting drug discovery research through mammalian cell culture, protein conjugation and purification, and mass spectrometry-based proteomics. This is a great opportunity to contribute to research that advances the understanding of therapeutic targets and potential treatments.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain mammalian cell cultures and prepare cell culture media.
Perform protein conjugation, purification, and characterization using UV spectroscopy.
Prepare biological samples for proteomics assays and support mass spectrometry-based analysis.
Analyze experimental data, maintain electronic laboratory notebooks, and communicate scientific findings.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Chemical Biology, or a related scientific field.
Hands-on mammalian cell culture experience.
Experience with proteomics sample preparation, mass spectrometry, Western blotting, or other molecular biology techniques is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
