Athletic Pep Band Director Supervision and development of band members
Recruitment
event and practice preparation and management
provide pep band at as many on-campus events as possible with focus on athletic events (pep rallies, football games, volleyball matches, basketball games as well as directed hockey, lacrosse and soccer match-ups)
community and alumni relations as assigned
making travel arrangements if necessary
drive to and from events and practices (as needed)
administrative duties as assigned
fund-raising as assigned
Other duties as assigned by Sr. Associate AD for Emerging Sports
Bachelor’s degree
Working knowledge of music and instrumental instruction
Previous directing experience
Adhere to Northwood University rules, regulations, and policies
Adhere to institutional regulations and policies
Provide leadership to promote a life-changing, positive experience for your band members
Promote academic success in the classroom and members being a positive presence on campus
Have success on the court while representing Northwood with class and integrity
Meet and exceed squad size numbers to aid our admissions department
Assist in specific community service projects for each team to learn the importance of giving back to the community
Represent Northwood in a professional, positive manner in the office, on-campus and in the community
Be flexible
Be a good team player within the department
