Diesel Technician / Heavy Equipment Mechanic:
Morris, IL$20.00 - $28.00/HRExpress Employment Professionals is partnered with a leading company in Morris, IL seeking a Diesel Technician / Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join their team.
Job Responsibilities:- Diagnose and repair heavy equipment components including gearboxes, axles, differentials, and related products
- Perform maintenance and repairs on company vehicles and equipment
- Operate a hydraulic drive test bench for final testing and oil filling of heavy equipment axles and gearboxes
- Complete data entry and maintain accurate service records
- Load and unload semi-trucks, flatbed trucks, and containers using forklifts and/or overhead cranes
- Perform material handling duties throughout the warehouse as needed
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Complete general housekeeping tasks and other duties as assigned
Qualifications:- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting experience
- Experience with diesel, automotive, agricultural, industrial, or heavy equipment repair preferred
- Forklift and overhead crane experience is a plus
- Ability to safely lift, move, and handle materials
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation
- Pay$20.00 - $28.00 per hour(Based on experience)
