Seeking an experienced Transmission Planning Engineer (PSCAD Specialist), this full-time position offers the opportunity to perform electromagnetic transient studies and model development while collaborating with a team to deliver innovative planning solutions, with options for remote work or various office locations across the U.S.
Key responsibilities:
Perform EMT work for network studies, generation and load interconnection tasks, and microgrid modeling
Develop and tune PSCAD models for new and existing transmission resources, ensuring performance requirements are met
Collaborate with and mentor junior engineers while supporting business development activities and maintaining industry knowledgeRequired qualificationsBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
Engineer in Training Certification
7 to 10 years of experience in transmission planning studies, particularly electromagnetic transient studies
Proficiency in PSCAD, including complex controls interactions and detailed FACTS modeling
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment and communicate technical topics to diverse audiences
