CGP: Property Accountant

Job Responsibilities: Manage accounting activities for a portfolio of commercial properties and ensure accurate financial records are maintained. Prepare journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules as part of the month end close process. Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies as needed. Process tenant related transactions, including billings, cash receipts, and account adjustments. Prepare financial reports, budget support schedules, variance analyses, and other property level reporting.

Requirements: Previous experience in property accounting with responsibility for full cycle accounting functions. Strong understanding of accounting principles and accrual based financial reporting. Prior experience preparing reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements. Proficiency with MRI accounting software. Ability to work independently in a fast paced and deadline driven environment.

Qualifications: Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate financial records. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve variances. Effective communication skills for working with property management and internal stakeholders. Organized work style with the ability to manage multiple properties and priorities simultaneously.
