Electrical Construction TechnicianEssential Duties and Responsibilities:
Install electrical systems for commercial construction projectsRun conduit (EMT, rigid, PVC) and pull wire according to plans and specificationsRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawingsInstall panels, switchgear, lighting systems, and other electrical componentsPerform layout and planning for electrical runs and installationsTroubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during construction phasesEnsure all work is completed in compliance with NEC codes and project specificationsMaintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environmentCollaborate with foremen, project managers, and other trades on-siteRequired Skills and Abilities: Strong knowledge of commercial electrical construction practicesAbility to read and interpret blueprints and electrical drawingsExperience with conduit bending, wire pulling, and system installationUnderstanding of NEC codes and safety standardsStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a teamReliable with strong work ethic and attendanceEducation and Qualifications: Journeyman Electrician license preferred (or equivalent field experience)4+ years of commercial electrical experience preferredPrevious experience on construction job sites requiredValid driver's license and reliable transportation preferredAbility to provide own toolsPhysical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularlyAbility to stand, bend, kneel, and work in various job site conditionsComfortable working at heights and on lifts when requiredAbility to work in indoor and outdoor environments in varying weather conditions
