Job Title: Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Engineer

Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated MLSDAlgorithm Engineer to develop a MATLAB or PYTHON program to optimize analogcircuits for high-speed communication systems. The successful candidate willdesign, implement, and optimize Maximum Likelihood Sequence Detection (MLSD) algorithms for PAM4 receivers used in optical and electrical interconnects operatingat 200G, 400G and beyond. Weare primarily targeting a senior-level engineer, but we will also consider highlymotivated entry-level candidates.

Main Duties and Responsibilities: Understand what DSP companies are implementing when it comes to FFE, DFE and MLSD equalization. Predict bit error ratio (BER) of measured or simulated data using FFE, DFE and MLSD equalization. Find figure of merits for analog design to speed up the development of analog circuits. Create and simulate mathematical algorithms forimproving bit error rate by using filtering, and advance equalizationtechniques e.g. CTLE, FFE, DFE and MLSD using tools like MATLAB or Python. Troubleshoot and analyze distortion, interference, orbandwidth issues to improve system performance. Work alongside analog designers, hardware, software, and systems engineering teams to guide them and solicit feedback from themfor best-in-class system level performance. KeyQualifications, Competencies & Skills Required: Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Physics. 10+ years’ experiencein an engineering related field preferred. Solid foundation in digital communications, filterdesign, convolution, and linear algebra. Strong proficiency in Python, and/or MATLAB. Strong proficiency in Viterbidecoder implementation, FFE Adaptation algorithms, channel estimation, andPAM4 signaling.
