QUALITY INSPECTOR

About the Role: S & N Machine & Fabricating Inc is looking for a detail-oriented Quality Control professional to join our team in Rothbury, MI. This is a great opportunity to play a critical role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of precision and excellence in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities: Inspect finished and in-process parts for dimensional accuracy, surface quality, and conformance to specifications Use precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify part tolerances Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality control records Identify, tag, and report non-conforming parts and coordinate corrective actions Collaborate with machinists and fabricators to resolve quality issues on the shop floor Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve production quality Ensure compliance with customer requirements, blueprints, and internal quality standards

Requirements: Prior experience in quality control, inspection, or a related manufacturing role Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, CMM, etc.) Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Familiarity with machining and metal fabrication processes preferred Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with production teams Experience with quality documentation and reporting systems is a plus
