SPO - Movement Infrastructure & Explorations
TheJPBFoundation(JPB)seeksnominationsandapplicationsforthepositionof SeniorProgramOfficer, Movement Infrastructure&Explorations(MIE).Joiningtheteamatanexcitingtimeofstrategicdevelopmentandteamgrowth, the SeniorProgramOfficer(SPO)willworkcollaborativelytodevelop, implement, andcommunicateprogramstrategiesthataccelerateJPB’simpactonmovementinfrastructureandinnovationsinintegratedwaystosupportallofJPB’sprogramareas. TheSPOwillbuildrelationshipsandelevateJPB’sleadershipamongotherfundersandpartnerorganizationstomovefundsalignedwithJPB’smissionandtoidentifyopportunitiesforfundercollaboratives. Theywillbuildrelationshipswithgranteesandseekoutnewgrantees, managegrantsandserveasapartnerforgranteeneedsandrequeststhatenhanceandbuilduponfinancialsupport, suchasconveningspaces, jointstrategizing, ororganizationalandleadershipdevelopmentopportunities. Theywillstayabreastofemergingtrendsandsynthesizeinformationtoinformstrategy. TheSPOwillworkacrosstheJPBteamtoensureintegrationandcoordinationwithinternalandexternalpartnerstosharelearningsandinsights. Inallofthiswork, theSPOwillpromotethemission, visionandvaluesofthe Foundationthroughrelationshipswithfunders, partners, andcurrentandpotentialgrantees. Theidealcandidatewillbringatleastfiveyearsofexperienceincommunityorganizing, campaigns, powerbuildingorcommunityengagement, withatleasttwo(2)ofthoseyearsmanagingandleadingothersinthatwork. They Willbringadeepunderstandingofmovementstrategy, infrastructure, andcapacity, andhavetrustingrelationshipswithmovementleadersandadeepcommitmenttosocialjusticeandpowerbuilding. They Willbeastrategist, excellentmanagerofworkandprogresstowardsgoals, curiousandlearningoriented, andanorganizerandconvenerofothers(bynatureorexperience).They Willbeanexcellentcommunicator, solutionsanddetail-oriented, andenjoybothindependentworkandclosecollaboration. Theidealcandidatewillbuildtrustingandcaringrelationships, havesoundjudgementandintegrity, andbeadaptableandflexibleandabletosupportagrowingteamtothriveinthisexcitingtimeofexpansionforthe Foundation.
