Quality Control Inspector

Responsibilities: The Quality Inspector will be inspecting various parts for overall condition and conformance to written specifications and dimensions in conformance with product drawings. Will routinely use micrometers, depth gauges, calipers, indicators, thread gauges, and an optical comparator to determine part integrity. Desired Background/Skills: Significant quality control experience in a manufacturing or production environment required. Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of parts and products to ensure compliance with customer specifications, engineering requirements, and quality standards. Make independent evaluations and judgments involving subjective inspection criteria and product acceptance decisions. Accurately collect, document, and maintain inspection data using ERP systems and other quality management tools. Identify, document, and contain defective or non-conforming materials to prevent unintended use or shipment. Provide detailed descriptions, supporting documentation, and justification for defective or non-conforming materials. Communicate inspection results, quality concerns, and non-conformance findings to managers, supervisors, and production personnel in a timely and professional manner.
