Details Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital setting High-volume facility with 200-300 births per month Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:30 May be required to float Uses Epic EMR system Requirements Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced (NCC C-EFM acceptable in lieu of AWHONN Advanced) Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required Epic charting experience required IV start and maintenance skills required Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a manager, director, or supervisor (Charge RN acceptable for second reference, no coworker references accepted)
Additional Information:
Provide comprehensive labor and delivery care including antepartum, postpartum, and newborn care Support high-risk antepartum patients and manage complications such as postpartum hemorrhage and pregnancy-induced hypertension Perform fetal monitoring including EFM, IUPC placement, and recognition of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns Circulate and recover C-section patients Administer medications including Magnesium Sulfate and Pitocin Locals are accepted at the same rate Former employees are eligible for assignment once they have been away from the facility for 6 months or more Current employees are ineligible to be hired as a traveler at any Ohio State University hospital location RTO must be submitted and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing contract due to urgent processing requirements American Traveler Job ID P-.
