Architectural Design Specialist

Primary Responsibilities: Initiate shop drawing process from laser scan survey information. Coordinate with Project Management to establish best design choices regarding client requirements, budget and material constraints. Coordinate with drafting vendors for production of shop and parts drawings. Perform Quality Assurance checks on incoming work from drafting vendors. Provide technical support as required to shop personnel and project management to facilitate the production and install of panel systems. Ability to interpret architectural drawings from clients. Produce technically correct designs that adhere to client requirements. Work cross functionally with Engineering/Operations/ Project Management/Sales and Estimating teams. Coordinate with project management and engineering to finalize details supporting the manufacturing team. Apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Understanding of basic construction, mechanical, and electrical design concepts. Experience with job shop production and sheet-metal fabrication. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with other employees and vendors. Job Specifications:

Education: Associate's Degree in related area.

Experience: Minimum 2-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Background in commercial construction and exterior wall panel construction.

Working Conditions: Work is performed in a general office environment. Occasional travel may be required.
