What You’ll Do:- Safely and effectively handle and restrain patients
- Support veterinarians and technicians during exams, treatments, and procedures
- Assist with preventative care and vaccine appointments
- Obtain radiographs and support diagnostic imaging
- Perform phlebotomy and collect diagnostic samples
- Complete in-house laboratory testing
- Monitor patients and communicate changes in condition to the medical team
- Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients and coworkers
- Educate clients and help them understand their pets’ care
- Maintain accurate patient records and document client interactions clearly
- Support Fear Free handling practices throughout the hospital
- Collaborate with the veterinary team to provide exceptional patient care
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming hospital environment
- What You’ll Bring
- Previous veterinary assistant experience
- Strong patient handling and restraint skills
- Knowledge of preventative care and vaccines
- Experience with radiographs, phlebotomy, and sample collection
- Knowledge of in-house laboratory procedures
- Critical thinking, curiosity, and a can-do attitude
- Reliability and professionalism in a fast-paced environment
