Assistant Director Alumni Engagement

Alumni Engagement Coordinator Augusta University is Georgia's innovation center for education and health care, training the next generation of innovators, leaders, and healthcare providers in classrooms and clinics on four campuses in Augusta and locations across the state. It serves as the primary liaison for alumni engagement within specific colleges and schools, building relationships with faculty and promoting involvement. The position oversees alumni receptions, works with the events team to develop new regional event initiatives, secures sponsorships, and tracks engagement metrics to assess impact and inform strategy. Proficiency in CRM systems like Raiser's Edge is required for managing alumni data and interactions. Additionally, the role supports the development of alumni programs which requires travel and other duties as needed. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to: alumni engagement and experiential programs, event planning and execution, engagement metrics and impact assessment, strategic program development and alumni outreach, CRM data management and alumni interaction tracking, regional alumni engagement strategy and program development, additional duties and travel. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. A minimum of 3 year's experience in higher education or non-profit organization, specifically experience in alumni engagement, volunteer management, and event planning or with 5 or more years of experience/training in alumni engagement, sales, marketing or similar. Master's degree from an accredited college of university. 5 or more years alumni engagement experience in higher education or non-profit organization, specifically experience in alumni engagement, volunteer management, and event planning. ABILITIES knowledge of alumni engagement programs and alumni board management, excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal/written communications skills, attention to detail and analytical abilities, a high energy level, integrity and sincerity; ability to multi-task, think creatively and handle a heavy workload, adaptability, good judgement, and initiative, knowledge of standard event management tasks and resources, ability to work effectively with people of all ages and backgrounds, including healthcare professionals, community leaders, as well as, students, patients, families, volunteers and employees, ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required.
