Salary:
70K-90KWe are seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to support a Payroll Manager with day-to-day payroll operations for a 50-state, multi-state workforce. This is a detail-oriented role requiring strong organization, accuracy, follow-through, and the ability to manage a high volume of payroll-related activity across multiple jurisdictions.
Responsibilities:
- Support payroll processing and maintain employee payroll records and changes for a 50-state workforce
- Review payroll data, timekeeping information, deductions, and adjustments for accuracy
- Handle employee payroll questions and research discrepancies
- Administer unemployment claims, wage garnishments, child support orders, tax levies, and other required deductions across multiple states
- Prepare payroll reports, spreadsheets, reconciliations, and documentation
- Partner with HR and other internal teams to resolve payroll issues
- Assist with audits, payroll verifications, final pay, off-cycle payments, and special projects
- Maintain confidentiality of employee compensation and personal information
Qualifications:
- 3–5+ years of hands-on payroll experience supporting a 50-state/multi-state workforce
- Strong understanding of multi-state payroll requirements and processes
- Experience with unemployment claims, wage garnishments, and child support orders is required
- Experience with a payroll system; ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred
- Strong Excel skills and experience working with payroll reports and employee data
- Knowledge of payroll processes, deadlines, timekeeping, and multi-state payroll compliance
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered
