You know how to carry a full book of nurses, work a MSP/VMS, and build relationships with your travelers. What you're probably tired of is the script, the layers of approval, and feeling like a number instead of a professional. This is a relationships job, driven by your efforts on the phone. Nurses don't come back for the fastest submittal. They come back for the recruiter who picked up, told them the truth, and remembered what they said last time. Axis has been doing this since 2004. We're a Seattle-based, founder-led travel nursing agency. We built that reputation by treating nurses like professionals and recruiters like adults. We're adding Senior Healthcare Recruiters who want a role they can actually build on. What you'll get A real inbound pipeline. Twenty years of reputation, a large candidate database, and steady lead flow from a brand nurses already trust. Account Manager support. You focus on nurses. Our AMs own the facility relationships and MSP work. Modern tools. LaborEdge, Sense, and the job board and social platforms you'd expect. AI built into the workflow. We're native AI users, not a company bolting on a chatbot. Our recruiters get purpose-built AI tools for sourcing, screening, writing, and follow-up, and we keep adding to them. If you've wanted to work somewhere that's ahead of the industry on this rather than catching up, this is it. Nurses who stay. Twenty years of doing right by travelers means the relationships you build here compound. Your extensions and referrals become the easiest part of your job. Freedom in how you work. Fully remote, with the structure of a daily call blast and clear activity goals so you always know where you stand. Recruit your way We don't run a cookie-cutter recruiter role. No two recruiters are motivated the same way, so we don't pretend otherwise. Like to write? Start a recurring blog on our site and build a following with nurses. Strong on social? Let's build a strategy together and have you own it. We'll boost it on every channel we have. Prefer to pound the phones and hit a hundred dials a day? That still works. We run structured daily call blasts to give you the dedicated time and target lists to hit your numbers. Your style matters here, and your ideas get used. How you creatively build your pipeline is up to you, but however you attract your nurses, the actual relationships and deals are still built on the phone. Who is a good fit at Axis? (The Requirements) You've been recruiting travel nurses for 3+ years and have carried 20+ nurses on assignment at a time You know your way around MSPs and VMS platforms. LaborEdge and Sense experience is a plus You don't need someone looking over your shoulder. You build your own day, hit your numbers, and don't lose steam when nobody is watching You're at your best on the phone. Dials, call blasts, and long candidate conversations are the job, not a chore You build real relationships, not transactions. Your nurses extend, they refer, and they call you first on their next contract You're comfortable with social recruiting on LinkedIn, Facebook, and similar platforms You stay visible and responsive on Microsoft Teams throughout the day, because remote only works when people can find you You've worked remote before, or you know yourself well enough to be honest about whether you'd thrive in itYou bring ideas and you're willing to own them, not just wait for a playbook You're curious about AI and open to working with tools most agencies haven't figured out yet. You don't need to be an expert, you need to be willing You have documented, verifiable results.
