APPLY NOWProject Superintendent: Water & Wastewater We are currently working with a well-established general contractor that is looking to add an experienced Project Superintendent to their Water & Wastewater Division in the Knoxville, TN area. This is an opportunity to join a growing contractor with a strong presence in the Southeast, working on complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects while taking ownership of field operations from start to finish.
The Role:
- Lead and manage overall field operations
- Develop, maintain, and manage project schedules
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, drawings, specifications, and field activities
- Establish project budgets and monitor costs throughout construction
- Identify cost variances and implement solutions to keep projects on track
- Identify project risks and work proactively to mitigate them
- Communicate quality expectations to subcontractors and vendors
- Conduct quality control inspections throughout the project
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies, OSHA standards, and applicable regulations
- Maintain a clean, safe, and productive jobsite
- Manage personnel and complete daily timekeeping
- Prepare daily reports and project logs
- Work closely with project management and other members of the project team
What We're Looking For:
- 6+ years of construction experience
- Previous experience as a Project Superintendent or similar field leadership position
- Water/wastewater construction experience
- Experience with treatment plants, pump stations, underground utilities, or related municipal infrastructure
- Strong understanding of field operations, scheduling, cost control, and subcontractor coordination
- Ability to take ownership of a project and drive field operations forward
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Commitment to safety, quality, schedule, and project performance
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer skills
