Located under 20 miles south of Austin, Texas, this brand-new freestanding emergency department is currently under construction and targeting a February 1, 2027 opening. Affiliated with St. David's South Austin Medical Center, a busy Level II Trauma Center, we're excited to build our new EM team and welcome physicians who want to be part of the launch! Opportunity Highlights Target opening: February 1, 2027 (pending construction)12 exam rooms; 13,000 sq. ft. Projected volume: ~12,000 annual visits (~33/day) Physician coverage: 24 hours/day; two, 12-hour shifts On-site diagnostics: CT, X-ray, ultrasound and lab servicesEMR: MediTechSpecialty backup: cardiology, neurology/stroke, general surgery, orthopedics, OB/GYN, critical care and Level II trauma services via South Austin Medical CenterAPC coverage may be added as volume grows Compensation and FlexibilityW2 employment Full-time and part-time opportunities Competitive base + RVU compensation Full-time = 120 hours/month (10 shifts) Health insurance and sign-on bonus offered to full-time physicians Night and holiday differential Professional liability insurance + tail coverage Option to pick up shifts at other St. David's EDsQualificationsABEM board certified/eligible preferred Family medicine or med-peds board-certified physicians considered with 5+ years of ED experience or EM fellowship Current ACLS, ATLS and PALSTexas medical license or ability to obtain Life in Kyle, Texas Located along the I-35 corridor between Austin and San Marcos, Kyle offers a growing community with plenty to enjoy close to home.
