Apprentice Lineman/Groundman

Apprentice Linemen/GroundsmanApprentice Linemen/Groundsman works with line crews in the power/utility industry supporting linemen who install and maintain electrical distribution and transmission lines. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesSet up job sites and safety zones Hand tools and materials to lineman Dig holes, set poles and anchor guy wires Operate equipment augers, trenchers, bucket trucks Once trained direct traffic in work zones Maintain and organize tools and trucks QualificationsBasic understanding of electricity and safety Ability to follow strict safety protocols Team communication - working closely with a crew Class C or Class A Driver's License; CDL preferred Physical DemandsHeavy lifting 50-100lbs Climbing Bending Working at heights Working outdoors in all weather (Texas heat included) Work EnvironmentOutdoor job sites such as utility right-of-way work, construction yards, or maintenance sites. Variable conditions (traffic control zones, slopes, wet/ice surfaces, uneven ground).
