Internal Medicine Residency Program Director

Overview: Adventist Health White Memorial is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to lead our Internal Medicine Residency Program as Program Director. Ensure continued accreditation of the program by comprehending and complying with all Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education requirements and institutional policies. Develop and continuously improve a high-quality, comprehensive Internal Medicine curriculum that meets state and national standards, aiming for a board pass rate greater than 80% and average in-service examination scores above the national mean. Mentor teaching faculty, monitor their academic appointments and performance, conduct annual reviews, and develop a faculty development program that encourages professional growth. Recruit, retain, and promote a high-caliber resident body reflective of the community, ensuring excellence in patient care, scholarly activity, ethics, and professionalism. Cultivate a psychologically safe working and learning environment that allows residents to raise concerns and provide feedback without fear of intimidation or retaliation. Manage financial stewardship of the residency budget, ensuring availability of ACGME-required resources for resident education and scholarly activity. Establish and maintain an education liaison with community-based and academic teaching institutions, coordinating faculty development, medical student curriculum, and resident training as needed. Perform any other duties required for the position and operation of the Internal Medicine Residency Program.
