Mechanical Assistant Project Manager

Assistant Project Manager Chicago, IL | Full Time, Permanent | $65,000 to $90,000gpac partners with well established commercial mechanical contractors in the Chicago market performing HVAC, plumbing and piping work on commercial and industrial projects. The Assistant Project Manager supports commercial mechanical projects through estimating, preconstruction, execution and closeout, working alongside a Project Manager. • Prepare and track submittals, RFIs, change orders and transmittals • Help build and maintain project schedules and track procurement • Track project costs for labor, materials and subcontractors • Support billing and project documentation • Coordinate with field leadership, subcontractors and customers • 2+ years in commercial construction as a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager or similar • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel • Strong organization and communication skills • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field • Experience with a mechanical contractor • Procore or similar project software$65,000 to $90,000, based on experience Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental and retirement A path toward Project Manager Access to several Chicago mechanical contractors through one conversation All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.
