EHS Specialist

Incident Investigation and Reporting: Will investigate workplace incidents, identify root causes and recommend corrective actions. Serves as a liaison between the employees and management by communicating and reporting safety concern and safety matters.

Implementing Safety Measures: Keep inventory and stocked all first aid materials and first aid kits. Ensure that all employees have access to and properly use PPE, such as helmets, gloves, safety glasses, and other necessary protective gear. Performs additional assignments per the Manager's direction.

Environmental Program and Training: Conduct environmental training sessions for employees, covering topics such as stormwater compliance and emergency procedures.

Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATIONAL SKILLS and EXPERIENCEPreferred Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or at least one (1) year of experience in related field. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or other relevant safety certifications is a plus. Preferred 2+ years of experience in safety and health management, preferably in a manufacturing or glass fabrication environment. Strong knowledge of occupational safety regulations and standards. Excellent communication and leadership skills with strong ability to make presentations and conduct training to hourly, supervision and site management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams. Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Preferred knowledge and experience with ISO certifications. PHYSICAL DEMANDSRequires regular sitting, reaching walking, talking, standing, stooping, kneeling, crawling and keyboarding. May occasionally lift/or move up to 25 pounds. Includes close, distance and peripheral vision, depth perception and color vision with ability to adjust focus.
