You'll work closely with experienced team members to develop your skills in machine operation, quality control, and maintenance.
What You'll Do:
As a Web Press Operator Trainee, you will be responsible for: Assisting with the setup and operation of multi-color printing presses Reading job tickets to understand specific printing requirements Confirming stock availability and preparing inks and chemicals Monitoring press operations and making minor adjustments as needed Performing routine cleaning and small maintenance tasks Ensuring product quality through self-inspection and adjustments Logging production data and tracking job progress accurately Maintaining a clean and safe work environment What You'll Bring The ideal candidate for this role will have: Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in machinery Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks High school diploma or equivalent preferred A willingness to learn and develop new skills Previous experience with mechanical systems or hobbies related to mechanics is a plus Why Join Us in Portland?
