We're looking for a creative, enthusiastic, and collaborative bilingual Family Librarian to join our KidSpace team at the Main Library location. This role focuses on delivering outstanding services to children, caregivers, and educators through innovative programs, exceptional reference and readers' advisory services. Inthis roleyou will: Provide and train others inreaders' advisoryand referenceservices. Lead the department in services to emerging readers and their caregivers. Plan and present family programs and large events on evenings and weekends. ServeasaPerson-in-Charge in the absence of a manager. Assistwith technology-related questions, library equipment, and explain library policies. Wearelookingfor someonewhois: Organized, enthusiastic, and collaborative. Knowledgeableabout child development, trends in literacy, and age-appropriate programming. Skilled in publicspeaking, programdelivery, andaudienceengagement.
Qualifications:
MLS/MLISfroman ALA-accredited libraryschool. Experienceworkingwith children. Hours 37.5 hours per week. Schedule includes Thursday evenings and every other Saturday. $62,517 - $65,642 Per Year.
