Now Hiring: Director of Photography - "The Price of Staying" (SAG-AFTRA ULB Feature, Colorado Springs)
Outlaw Poet Digital Films is producing an independent psychological horror feature adapted from Ellie Burdg's novel, shooting 18 days in Q1 2027 plus paid pre-production starting now.
The DP is the last unfilled seat at our core creative table. You'd design and lead the lighting and lensing strategy for a locked three-act color architecture - Silver, Industrial Red, Black - shooting on a production-owned Sony FX6/FS5M2 package.
What we offer:
a $3,500 stipend (milestone-based, 1099-NEC) - the locked department-head rate, not an opening bid - plus on-screen and IMDb credit, meals and mileage on set days. And full transparency: our deal memos state in plain terms that all crew payments are deferred until our Crowdfundr Phase 1 campaign completes, with the author's option agreement as first payout priority. If that campaign doesn't complete, no payments become owed. We put this in every posting because we'd rather lose an applicant than surprise a crew member.
