Drawing up medications in a sterile fashion, intravenous injection and phlebotomy, and obtaining a manual blood pressure and pulse. Ability and knowledge in handling adverse reactions in patients and coordinating emergency situations. Ability to perform functions using job-related software and systems. Travel may be required to accommodate staffing levels at other clinical facilities. Attendance, promptness, professionalism, the ability to pay attention to detail, cooperativeness with co-workers and supervisors, and politeness to customers, vendors, and patients. Performs ERG duties as assigned Sets up and prepares patient for electrophysiology testing to be used in the diagnosis of inherited retinal and optic nerve diseases, toxic drug exposure, inflammatory conditions, intraocular foreign bodies, and retinal vascular occlusions. Analyzes test data acquired using available computer software protocols. Assembles preliminary test results into IHIS format to be finalized by the interpreting physician. Maintains equipment in good working order for daily testing. Works with equipment vendors to maintain and upgrade hardware/software to latest versions. Performs maintenance operations and calibration protocols on vestibular lab equipment. Archives patient data for secure storage and retrieval.
