The technician may assist with positioning the patient during surgical procedures, and is knowledgeable about instruments, supplies, and equipment used during orthopaedic procedures. *EDUCATION** High school diploma/GED* Graduate of a school for training as orthopaedic technician preferred*EXPERIENCE** Two to four years’ experience in an orthopaedic setting required* Clinical experience as an orthopaedic technician (or a similar position) with emphasis on casting and fitting of braces and splints preferred* Experience assisting in operating room under direction of a physician strongly preferred*LICENSURE/CREDENTIALS** MA-R or MA-C required* Orthopaedic Technologist Certification preferred* Basic Life Support (BLS) certified
