This is a hands-on role with real responsibility and variety—ideal for someone who takes pride in their work and can operate independently.
What You'll Do:
Maintain, diagnose, and repair: Rental fleet equipment (all types) Material handling equipment Delivery trucksTroubleshoot mechanical issues both in the shop and over the phoneCommunicate with drivers and customers to help resolve equipment problemsWork with manufacturer technical support as neededOrder parts and manage repair flow efficientlyUse rental software and computer systems for parts ordering and service recordsMaintain accurate maintenance logs and inspection documentationHelp keep the shop and yard clean, organized, and safeAssist with equipment inspections, inventory, and yard operations as neededOccasionally assist with local deliveries or equipment movesWhat We're Looking For: Strong mechanical and diagnostic skillsExperience with all types of engines and equipment repairFamiliarity with rental equipment and/or small enginesComfortable troubleshooting verbally with drivers and customersBasic computer skills (service entries, parts ordering, rental software) Self-starter who can work independently and manage prioritiesOrganized, reliable, and safety-focusedNice to Have (Not Required): Class A CDLForklift or construction equipment experiencePrevious experience in a lumber yard or rental yard environmentRequirements: Valid driver's licenseAbility to lift heavy materials and work in a shop and outdoor yard environmentHigh school diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational training is a plus)
