APPLY NOW (opens in a new tab)We are seeking aHematology Oncology Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in Pendleton, OR.This position focuses exclusively on outpatient care, including hospital-basedoutpatient oncology services and chemotherapy program oversight. The physician willmanage a patient volume of approximately 15–18 patients per day and performbone marrow biopsies. There are no inpatient responsibilities or patientadmissions. Schedule & Details
Shift:
- Days, 8:00AM–5:00 PM, Monday–Thursday
- Coverage:3 weeks permonth
- Flexibility:3-day workweeksmay be considered
Practice
Setting:
Outpatient clinic and hospital-based outpatient services
Patient Volume:
- Approximately15–18 patients per day

- Approximately1–3 per week
- Inpatient

Responsibilities:
Provideoutpatient hematology and oncology consultations, evaluations, and ongoingpatient management.
Direct andoversee the hospital-based outpatient chemotherapy program.
Develop andmanage individualized treatment plans for patients with hematologicdisorders and malignancies.
Perform bonemarrow biopsies.
Monitortreatment response, manage side effects, and adjust therapies asappropriate.
Coordinate carewith nursing staff, oncology support teams, and other healthcareprofessionals.
Maintainaccurate and timely documentation in eClinicalWorks and Meditech.
Requirements:
- Board-Certifiedin Hematology and Board-Certified in Medical Oncology, or Board-Eligiblein Medical Oncology
- Board-Eligiblecandidates must have completed residency within the past 0–5 years
- Active Oregonmedical license required
- Current BLScertification required
- Completion ofthe appropriate residency and fellowship training
