Position Overview:
Surgical pathology case sign-out (General surgical pathology, GI, GU, breast, biopsy, excision, and resection cases) Frozen section coverageReview may include screening and sign out cytopathology cases(non-gyn) Participate in internal and external quality assurance and performance improvement activities, departmental meetings, and facility-wide training as neededWork closely with the Medical Director and laboratory management team to ensure completion of cases within the required turnaround time (TAT) Direct collaboration with referring physiciansQualificationsMD with Board Certification / Eligibility (AP/CP)NYS Medical LicenseFellowship training in Surgical Pathology required 3-5 years of experience preferredCompensationUp to $170,000 (commensurate with experience & subspecialty) – Based on 20 hours / week
