Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM; occasional Fridays, 6:00 AM–10:00 AMSymbiotic Services is seeking experienced Inside Upholsterers for a furniture manufacturing opportunity in Conover, NC. This full-time position offers consistent 40–45-hour workweeks with no Saturday schedule. Overtime may be required depending on production needs.

Position Summary: The Inside Upholsterer is responsible for upholstering, repairing, and replacing upholstery on high-end residential furniture. This role requires significant hands-on furniture upholstery experience, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work with fabric and leather using manual and powered tools.

Primary Responsibilities: Upholster, repair, and replace upholstery on high-end household furniture. Fit, install, and securely attach fabric or leather to wooden furniture frames. Use hand tools, pneumatic tools, staple guns, and other production equipment. Align materials and furniture components to ensure accurate assembly and a quality finished product. Maintain high standards of craftsmanship, appearance, and quality. Meet established production requirements in a manufacturing environment. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of Inside Furniture Upholstery experience required. High school diploma or GED preferred. Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus. Basic computer knowledge. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship. Ability to work a full-time schedule. Flexibility to work overtime when required.

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for shifts of up to 10 hours. Ability to operate hand tools, air tools, and staple guns for extended periods. Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to perform repetitive, hands-on upholstery work throughout the shift.
