You are building the data foundation that makes AI actually work, at one of the most technology-driven investment firms in the world. This is a greenfield role. You are not inheriting someone else's legacy decisions or patching systems that should have been replaced years ago. You are designing the architecture from the ground up, which means your fingerprints are on everything. The work sits at the intersection of legal content and modern AI. You are building the infrastructure that makes semantic search, retrieval-augmented generation, and document processing work reliably with real business documents. That includes metadata schemas, taxonomy design, storage systems, and retrieval pipelines. This is one of the most in-demand skill sets in the market right now, and you are getting to specialize in it at serious scale. Senior leaders across Legal and Technology are close to this work. You will not be buried in a product backlog. What you build gets noticed. The firm is one of the original quant investment firms, technology-led from day one. That shapes how decisions get made and how seriously engineering is taken at every level. You have a background in infrastructure or platform product management, and you have done it on content-heavy products. You understand how metadata, storage, and retrieval systems fit together. You are comfortable with GenAI concepts and you can communicate technically complex ideas clearly to engineers and stakeholders alike. You work closely with engineering teams and that is where you do your best work. Legal tech experience, familiarity with attorney workflows, or iManage knowledge would all be useful. They are not requirements. The package includes a year-end bonus guaranteed in your first year, medical coverage, 401(k) matching, PTO, etc. This would be a great next step if you are ready to move from maintaining platforms to building one.
